phew....

well yesterday afternoon was a bit of a stresser! My heart was in my mouth for about 3 and a half hours whilst Tim Henman had a go at beating a bloke who's name i cant pronounce but is very similar to eminem, with a n at the begining.

I've heard all the jokes before, "oh yeah, I'm gonna be supporting Tim all the way......to the quarter finals!" and the "he's just crap" comments. How can he be crap and be seeded 6th at Wimbledon? He's not the best, and I'll be the first to admit it but if I'm going to be vaguely patriotic (and lets face it well all need to be a bit more patriotic England and Britian aren't crap either! But thats another long blog that I may write another day), I'm going to shamelessly support Henman all the way, full stop!

Tim may not win the tornament or even get to the semis (and if yesterday is anything to go by I'm not going to money on him getting through round 2) but what I can say is that I still thoroughly enjoy whatching him play even if its badly (and thats not just 'cause I fancy him a bit either). You/one just never knows whats going to happen. For me it's like watching a film with my favourite actor and sometimes its a shit film but you can enjoy it anyway and sometimes its brilliant and they shine all the way through and sometimes its a shit film and they give a shit performance but you still live in hope that the next one will be better and they don't stop being your favourite actor. Well thats what is like for me and Tim.

We need to be a bit more supportive of our British number one, and people need to stop dismissing him as simply a "crap" tennis player!
